五点四十分有两种表达方式：
六点差20分：twenty to six;
五点过40分 five forty;
英语时间的表达方式一是直接读:
如:
6:10six ten；
二是逆读，4:50 ten to five；
三是恰好半小时的，如6:30 half past six；
四是过15分钟的，如9:15 a quarter to nine。
